Would you read a book if you knew this was in the middle of it?

“Kairo!” Screamed Kyla, “No!” Her scream morphed into a shriek. Tears were streaming down her face, her green eyes were edged with silver. Pain flashed across her face, for once revealing her true feelings, before it morphed into a face filled with unchecked anger and hate. She got up from the ground looking up at Curren. “You will pay for this.” The depth in her voice unsettled him, he had never seen her like this before. It was very rare that she ever displayed what she was actually feeling, he had never had believed that it could possibly go this deep, her face was so contorted with anger that it was almost unrecognizable. Silver sparks snapped off of her arms and her eyes now became fully silver, the kind sweet fifteen year old that usually inhabited them was gone. A new person now replaced her.
